Mass, Sacraments & Devotions


Regular Mass Schedule
  • Sunday Masses
    • Saturday 5:15 pm Anticipated Mass
    • Sunday 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 11:30 am (using the 1962 Roman Missal - see Calendar of Events for Sung Masses)
  • Daily Masses
    • Monday – NO MASS
    • Tuesday – 7:30 am
    • Wednesday – 7:30 am
    • Thursday – 7:30 am
    • Friday – 8:30 am
    • Saturday – 5:15 pm

In case of bad weather, we will follow the Inclement Weather Policy for canceling or postponing Mass, Parish activities, and school. Generally, Masses are not cancelled due to weather, but parishioners are urged to use good judgement and avoid risks attempting to get to Mass.

Holy Days of Obligation

In the Roman Church, there are six holy days of obligation, in addition to every Sunday:

  • January 1st – Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God*
  • Ascension Thursday – Obligation moved to following Sunday
  • August 15th – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary*
  • November 1st – All Saints*
  • December 8th – Immaculate Conception
  • December 25th – Christmas

*In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the holy day of obligation is suspended when the solemnity falls on a Saturday or Monday.


Devotions:

  • Rosary - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday  8:15 am Friday 8:00 am
  • Wednesday (every week) – Miraculous Medal Perpetual Novena at 9:00 am
  • 13th of every month at noon – Fatima prayers and the Rosary will be prayed.

January: Dedicated to The Holy Name and Childhood of Jesus
  • January 1 – Solemnity of Mary; Montfort Consecration at 9:00 am
  • January 3 – Feast of the Holy Name; Litany for Holy Name at 9:00 am

February: Dedicated to The Holy Family
  • February 2 – Feast of the Presentation; Blessing of candles
  • February 3 – Feast of St Blaise; Blessing of throats at regular Masses
  • Ash Wednesday – Ash distribution at 6:30 am, 8:30 am and 6:30 pm Masses
  • Fridays during Lent: Extraordinary Form Mass, 6:00pm; Stations of the Cross, 7:30pm

March: Dedicated to St. Joseph
  • March 6-8 – Prayers for Sick at 9:00 am
  • March 19 – Feast of St Joseph; Litany of St. Joseph at 9:00 am
  • March 25 – Feast of The Annuciation; St. Louis de Montfort Consecration at 9:00 am

April: Dedicated to The Blessed Sacrament
  • Divine Mercy Sunday (Sunday after Easter) – Procession with image of Divine Mercy at 12:00 pm
  • April 28 – St Louis Marie de Montfort; Montfort Consecration at 9:00 am

May: Dedicated to Mary
  • May 1 – Saint Joseph the Worker;  Prayer of St. Joseph the Worker at 9:00 am
  • May Procession (TBA Sunday in May) – Procession and crowning after the 11:30am Mass
  • May 31 – Renew Consecration to Blessed Virgin Mary

June: Dedicated to Sacred Heart of Jesus
  • 8 days before Pentecost – Begin Novena to Holy Spirit at 9:00 am
  • Corpus Christi Sunday – The Feast of Corpus Christi is celebrated on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday, which falls one week after Pentecost Sunday; Eucharistic Exposition, Procession through Hagerstown and Benediction
  • Sacred Heart of Jesus – Consecration to Sacred Heart at 9:00 am

July: Dedicated to The Precious Blood
  • July 16 – Our Lady Of Mount Carmel; Scapulars blessed and people invested at 9:00 am
  • July 26 – Feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne; Special prayer of the Grandparents of Christ at 9:00 am

August: Dedicated to Immaculate Heart of Mary
  • August 4 – Feast of St John Vianney patron of Parish priests; Special prayer of St. John Mary Vianney
  • August 15 – The Feast of the Assumption of Mary; Montfort Consecration at 9:00 am
  • August 22 – Feast of the Queenship of Mary; Consecration to Mary, Our Queen

September: Dedicated to Seven Dolours (Sorrows) of Mary
  • September 8 – Birth of Mary; celebrated with praying a decade of the Rosary after 11:00 am Mass on nearest Sunday

October: The Holy Rosary (and, less formally, the Holy Angels)
  • Rosary Rally (TBA Sunday) – Procession and prayers

November: Dedicated to Poor Souls in Purgatory
  • November 1 – All Saints Day Litany of Saints at 9:00 am
  • November 30 – Novena for Immaculate Conception begins

December: Dedicated to The Immaculate Conception
  • December 8th – Feast of the Immaculate Conception; St. Louis de Montfort Consecration and/or Renewal of Consecration at 9:00 am; “Hour of Grace” at noon
  • December 17 – Novena for Christmas at 9:00 am
  • December 25 – Feast of the Nativity of Christ
  • December 28 – Feast of the Holy Innocents; Consecration of Children and Blessing at 9:00 am
  • December 30 – Feast of the Holy Family (also the  Sunday between Christmas and the Solemnity of Mary) Family Prayer to Holy Family at 9:00 am
