The online course takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours to complete. To successfully complete the course, you must score at least 75% on a final set of questions. Enter your name and parish or school. Note that this step must be completed to receive credit for the course. Upon successful completion of the training, print your Certification of Completion.

As stated above, training is one part of the STAND certification process.

Part II

You are also required to obtain, from the School office or Parish Center, an Application for Volunteer Services and a Consent Form for Volunteer Select Criminal History Screening to fill out, The documents can also be obtained from the website below. You are also required to review the Archdiocese of Baltimore Code of Conduct and Statement of Policy for the Protection of Child & Youth which can be found at http://www.archbalt.org/STAND/

After completing the training, you should deliver the forms (completely filled out and signed), and your training Certificate of Completion, to the STAND Coordinator (Mike Morrell) in the Parish Center.

The STAND Coordinator will then check references and conduct the VolunteerSelect background check.

You will receive a STAND card in the mail when your STAND certification has been completed. Please allow about one month for the process.
