 Holy Days of Obligation

In the Roman Catholic tradition, there are 6 holy days of obligation, outside of Sundays.

*January 1st - Mary, Mother of God

Ascension Thursday - obligation moved to following Sunday

*August 15th - Assumption of Mary

*November 1st - All Saints

December 8th - Immaculate Conception

December 25th - Christmas

*In the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the holyday obligation is suspended when the solemnity falls on a Saturday or Monday.

 

Devotions

Year of Priest Plenary Indulgence - the first Thursday of each month. Confessions will be heard after the 8:30 am Mass. Click here  for the complete instructions.

Monday - Saturday the rosary will be prayed at 8am, and Sunday at 9am.

Wednesday (every week) Miraculous Medal Perpetual Novena at 9am.

13th of every month at 12:00pm (noon) Fatima prayers & the rosary will be prayed.

 

January 1 - Montfort Consecration at 9am

January 3 - Litany for Holy Name at 9am

February 2 - Blessing of Candles

February 3 - Blessing of throats at regular Masses

Ash Wednesday - ash distribution at 6:30am, 8:30am & 7:30pm Masses

March 6-8 - Prayers for Sick at 9am

March 19 - Litany of St. Joseph at 9am

March 25 - St. Louis de Montfort Consecration at 9am

Divine Mercy Sunday (Sunday after Easter) - procession with image at 12pm

April 28 - Montfort Consecration at 9am

May 1 - Prayer at 9am of St. Joseph the Worker

May Procession (TBA Sunday in May) - procession & crowning at 12pm

May 31 - Renew Consecration to Blessed Virgin Mary

8 days before Pentecost - Begin Novena to Holy Spirit at 9am

Corpus Christi Sunday - Eucharistic Exposition & Procession & Benediction

Sared Heart of Jesus - consecration to Sacred Heart at 9am

July 16 - Scapulars blessed & people invested at 9am

July 26 - Special prayer to Sts. Joachim & Anne at 9am

August 4 - Special prayer of St. John Mary Vianney

August 15 - Montfort Consecration at 9am

August 22 - Consecration to Mary, Our Queen

September 8 - Birthday party for Mary after 11am Mass on nearest Sunday

October Rosary Rally (TBA Sunday) - procession & prayers

November 1 - Litany of Saints at 9am

November 30th - Novena for Immaculate Conception begins

December 8th - St. Louis de Montfort Consecreation and/or Renewal of Consecration at 9am; "Hour of Grace" at 12pm (noon).

December 17th - Novena for Christmas at 9am

December 28 - Consecration of Children & Blessing at 9am

December 30 - Family Prayer to Holy Family at 9am
